Wanibooks i sure to fullfill every fetish with its Comic Gum line.Nurses,Meidos and now the inevitable Gothic Lolita.As you probably noticed this one is once again the alternate colour version of the 2007 sculpt.Uchijima amazed me with his Ryomou sculpt and miserably failed at Hakufus Meido sculpt and im glad to be able to say that Hakufu isnt the norm.He delivered once again good work for a nice price.This picks once again the question up why Hakufu was so miserable.All were done at the same time by the same sculptor and yet her sculpt was totally awful.I could only imagine that it was a hurried job to finish on time.
Kanu has like the other alternte colour versions a dark glossy theme and her hair is also colored differently.While i prefer her outfit in this dark version the pink hair needs some time to get used to.Its all up to your preference tough.If youre into pink hair youll love this figure.One of her biggest selling points is her hair floating in the air.Its really nice to look at and i havent had a problem with it until now.The frills on her dress are nicely done and the paintjob is good in contrast to Hakufus shoddy paintjob is certain areas.Kanu even has the privilege of wearing a black latex like looking pantsu instead of the boring old white things your mother has in her closet.The mirror base helps to check if she hasnt changed pantsus but its optional since she doesnt need it because of her kneeling pose.
Another flaw of the meido was the face that was totally off and with Kanu this isnt the case.I like the expression of her face thats not girly at all.One of the flaws of the forementioned figure carried over though: her weapon wont really fit into her hand and is falling off nearly every time you move her.Kanus spear looks also pretty plasticky and its a shame it isnt as detailed as Ryomous Katana.
There isnt much more to complain about this figure.Shes,like Ryomou, a good figure for a nice price and ou wont be disappointed if you dont expect quality of the big players in the scene.
Just one more word of advice: avoid Hakufu at all cost !!!
Theres also a Peg for the hair to stay in place but it wont really stay in there

Now this one is really nice. The dress part could be a little better in my opinion but it does the job. Gothic lolita ftw. Kanu looks especially good in this rendition.

ahh one of few Kanu figures that I like. The only other ones being Alter’s Kanu, and the upcoming Daiki Kanu. I love her goth loli outfit, though not sure about the black version. Pink hair is not bad though ^^

Kanu always had a bit more tan than the other girls but this versio made her a bit darker than usual.

Despite a lack of knowledge about Kanu, I do find this figure very beautiful. The hair and especially the dress looks very nice. Very detailed indeed with the frills.
I like it despite the flaws u mentioned. ^^
The only Kanu figure I will be getting is the figma version.

The figure doesn’t look like Kan-u at all! Perhaps its due to her well covered clothes and her being in another attire other than her school uniform (which is her usual outfit). Hopefully more figures like this will be produced in the market. Really, I actually find this figure nice looking as compared to the other half naked or 3/4 naked ones. (:

I prefer clothed figures a hundred times over half naked ones.They just allow alot more detail and arent as embarrassing.Id like to see more Ikki figures too
