The local electronic discounter Saturn released their newest ad a few days ago and when i took a look at it i instantly new that i had to grab this offer.The Photokina just closed its doors and they are selling the Nikon Coolpix P50 now as an old model for 99€.Until now i had to borrow my mothers crappy digicam with a poor macromode and nearly no customization options but thats history!I can finally take pictures whenever i want!
You can expect a figure review later on after i fiddled a bit around with my camera.Its the Day of German Unification tomorrow and therefore i wont have to work.Screams for a loooong night

It seems shes capable of more than i thought.
I need to study the manual and maybe ill be able to achieve some pictures like these in the future.

Also you are going to have to mess around quite a bit with it in order to find good manual settings, especially for indoor and convention shoots. I can tell you, those are tedious.

that camera is pretty good and those pictures are the same quality you would see from a DSLR

I’m thinking of getting a camera too because I’ve been borrowing my sibling’s camera for some time already. But I have a big problem, that is I’ve no idea what makes a good camera at all. =_= Maybe I need to research on this before spending my money.

Its really awkward when you have to borrow the camera from one of your relatives.It usually ends up that you both need it at the same time :/
Im no Camera specialist but a friend of me told me that you should have the following basic:
Around 8 MP.Cameras above 12 MP cant process the Information with their chips and result in worse pictures
A 4 x Zoom
Image Stabilizer
He also said you should stick to traditional brands like Canon,Nikon,Sony because they know their stuff.A Brand like Samsung has a good reputation but they dont know too much about cameras
I bet there are still alot more rules you should stick to when buying a camera.Just do a lil research and youll be alot smarter
