What a pleasant suprise!I didnt expect this item to ship sooner than early november but it was lying on my doorstep this morning.It took only 8 days to arrive and is the fastest SAL shipment i ever had from HLJ.The patience i needed for the book to get in stock again finally paid off.I was lucky and paid it before the big stock crash and had to cash out only 13 Euro.Its probably around 16-17 Euro by now. Lucky me!

Im a big fan of Black Lagoon and those people will probably get the most joy out of this artbook since it takes up alot of the space.There are some Artworks from other things Hiroe worked on like Shook up,Fate/Stay,Ray Field and Phantom BULLET but those are in the minority.The latter one deserves one more mention tough because the second half of the book features the first 4 chapters of the Phantom BULLET Manga.If my research is right it was somehow lost back in the day and never finished.Its no bummer though because its a very generic superpower kickass woman killing evil monsters plot as far as i can tell.
I would have prefered more Artworks instead of the Manga but its definately interesting to see one of Hiroes earlier works and how he progressed to the goodness called Black Lagoon.Both are pretty good from the artistic view but BL plot seems alot better.Theres also an Interview with Hiroe and Kinoko Nasu,who seems to be one of Type Moons Scenario writers, at the end of the book.I guess its about the production process of Fate/Stay and how they worked together.
The Book finishes with a 4 page Manga where all of Hiroes babes rumble at an Onsen,naked of course…

I wondered myself…I have no Idea what happens in Hollow/Ataraxia…So maybe it makes sense in the context of the game?
I have not read/watch Black Lagoon so I am not familiar with it >_<
However the artwork does look very nice; the characters look more mature (i.e. not moe), and there are a lot of lighting used in the pictures!

Alas I did not cosplay. Too lazy to make my own…and getting it made would be expensive. I would like to try. But I wouldn’t like posing for pictures… So there’d be be little point in me doing it lol.

If you are not turned off by Actionflicks with sometimes explicit violence i highly recommend Black Lagoon.Its still one of my fav. Series out there.

I’m a Black Lagoon fan too, seen all the anime and I’m keeping up with the US manga releases. Agh…looking at that image of Roberta made my stomach churn in desire for that Resin Statue I’m trying so so so hard to forget! It’s $170 but it looks gorgeous! I’d have to cancel about 4 figures in order to get something like that though.
