Its been nearly a year since i started collecting figures and i thought that id write a small post about what i experieneced throughout that year.Ill start of with my very own tower of boxes even tough its not as impressive as Rin`s tower.As you can see Im keeping all my boxes for storage purposes and as backup when Im moving etc…Those are taking up quite alot space in my bedroom,but to make things even worse…

Its stupid but i feel much better knowing that the boxes wont take any damage while beeing stored in boxes^^;;;
Its no wonder that my bedroom looks like a storageroom due to all the boxes in boxes but im usually only sleeping there and in other rooms during daytime so i dont really mind.I seriously have to think of a better storage solution in the future tough.Any Hints are appreciated.I think ill swap all small parts that are currently stored in the boxes into a container like Optic or Meronpan.I guess ill have to resort to melonpans style of container since Rizes dress is so frigging big.
Another thing ill have to think about is where ill be displaying my incoming figures.I maxed out my Detolf some time ago.Theres no space for another Detolf and I dont wanna display my figures in the open.Im a really lazy person and hate to dust off the figures.I cant see any other option than doing that tough and i think ill use Dannys guide.Theres only one problem: I suck at this kind of stuff 
Ive shot a group picture of my figures some time ago and 3 more have been added to the harem since then.I dont feel like taking all of them out again so ill post the old one
One thing i noticed is how i advanced from low/mediocre quality figures to better quality figures over the year.I credit this to all the blogs out there writing reviews/previews/giving advice.I just threw figures of characters i knew into my shopping cart without knowing anything about quality during my first order.I still have a thing for the flawier figures but it isnt nearly as bad as one year ago.Another thing i blame the blogosphere for is the steady increase of figures in my collection.I actually didnt expect a big increase in figures at all.
In case you wondered why there are no figure reviews right now…I simply havent got any new figures lately…Somehow all my orders seem to fall into December/January.There should arrive some figures really soon tough.

I have no figure reviews as well (even that I got a bunch of figures this month)because
1- My camera does not like me. (It does not have autofocus so every time I try to take a picture of a closeup, it gets blurry)
2- I try to get photos outdoors, tons of mosquitoes bites me.
3- The 2008 CREDIT CRUNCH!!

I haven’t had much to post about lately either, especially figure related. Looks like I’ll finally be getting something tomorrow or the next day though. If I didn’t live in such a small house I’d probably have kept the boxes things came in too. I do still keep my figure boxes but I’ve got everything in a hlj box instead of the original boxes now.

This is true for me as well. And I am now looking to sell off figures I bought on impulse or made mistakes of. Yay!
Unlike you though I had two limited orders this month along with a normal. Bah. Still waiting for the last of them to arrive. Should be mailed out from Japan today.

Cool collection you have there.
Don’t feel bad keeping boxes in boxes. Doing so will keep the figures away from dust as there are more layers of card boards to protect it. Perhaps you can get a big plastic box to contain the figures and the figure boxes instead? It’ll reduce space, minus unnecessary cardboard boxes and the big plastic boxes last. (:

You know, I’m always impressed with how people have got so much figures and the crazy number of boxes stacking like a Tower of Babel. Don’t worry about no figures coming yet; I’ve got nothing new at all since I got stuck in the UK in late September! I guess I just gotta wait patiently ’til mid-December… T_T

Oh another good for plastic boxes is that you can stack them, one on top the other. I have 2 big plastic boxes to store my manga and they’re doing a great job in keeping the dust out.
For lazy folks like me, I like to place A4 size papers on the toppest box so that I just need to throw those papers away whenever it gets dusty (save on the cleaning).

Wow, that’s amazing. You keep the boxes that your figures arrived in. Well, I used to do that, but I don’t think I can accommodate all of the boxes in an apartment. I have a fair share of boxes and protective packing material to protect my boxes. I imagine that you fold your HLJ boxes so that they don’t occupy as much space.
