Im finally done with tweaking my spanking new theme!It was more work than initally thought and i had to part with some beloved plugins to get this baby working.It is something completely different from K2 but i think i kept the great usability of K2 while having a slick design.Read on after the Jump for Information about changes regarding the overall Design aswell as the AnimeBlog Community.
First off i gotta thank Jinsona of Web2Feel for offering this theme for free.I literally asked him a hole in his belly with all my questions regarding the tweaking of the CSS-code and when things didnt work out the way i wanted.He answered every single question really fast and that without seeing a penny! Kudos man!
You probably already noticed those 2 nifty sliders that pop up at the mainpage.Those give me the possibility to highlight certain posts, i think of as readworthy, in the feature slider aswell as showing off my figure reviews in the smaller one.The most recent posts are displayed in the right corner called Top 5 of the week.Further down the page is the regular summary of the posts like in any other regular blogtheme.I hope to keep a maximum overview with easier usability this way.Im open for comments on how to improve this further.
The downside of this theme is that i had to part with some plugins I really like.The Sliders were in conflict with commentLuv and i had to deactivate it.I really liked the idea of sharing commenters posts with visitors and exchanging traffic this way.Im really sad that i cant give this favor back anymore.Thats why I thought of something else.Most of my Commenters are in my BlogRoll anyway and I plan to move it to a seperate page and anotate it.Theres plenty of free space in my sidebar after that step is done and i thought of something like inserting rotating banners of blogs in my blogroll.Another possibility is that I insert their banners into the (at the moment) unsused Sponsors Category.I need to find out how to get rotating banners in there though.Im a total monkey when it comes to coding ^^;;;
Ill have a further look into the possibilities if theres interest from your side.All you would have to do is send me a banner of your side in a then announced size.Thats all! You give me love,I give you love!
Theres still some minor stuff to do about this theme like creating thumbnails,changing descriptions and the like.Theres a possibility that youll stumble across bugs or other nasty creatures.Please inform me how and where you found them and ill try to get rid of em with my Moe extermination squad.I thought about changing the colour scheme back to my yellowish one since i dont like dark themes but i dont think ill be able to pull that of.I fear ill screw up somewhere in between making things look bleh.As a result of this ill have to work on a new header but I have no idea what to use in it so far.I dont like ripping off some Artists work and it should go well with this dark theme.Any Ideas?

Yes, sometimes it takes a while to get things all sorted out. Nice break away from K2, though if you liked K2, you could have made your own style for it. The rotating feature area is pretty slick.
wow, now this is a total change up. Wish I could figure out how to make something fancy like this XD Well it’ll take some getting used to but I’d say this is pretty awesome

Believe me I totally suck at coding.My prior K2 Design took me ages and it was basically just a colour tweak.Its not that im unhappy with this theme.Its just that its some good ol melancholy.Im parting with my first theme ever after all!

Yeah its a total change.I hope that visitors wont be too confused by the new Design.Its really,really different from the usual blog theme but looks so much slicker imho.

A very neat theme. I really like the sliders because u can add and remove info and links without affecting the rest of ur theme and readers can hide it when their done viewing.

Perhaps the paragraphs can be better differentiated with more space in between them. They’re all so closely knitted (from the above post) that I’m having trouble differentiating. I think it has something to do with the “padding”. You’ll need to drop a friendly note to the creator to ask though.

That, and the DC.com Feed ‘header’ is kinda cut off, which looks odd. Giving it a title might be a good idea as well. Like ‘dannychoo.com’ or something.

Something else I just noticed: On one-line posts at the very bottom of the comments (as in the newest one), the Gravatar extends past the bottom border of the comment background. (Rather noticeable on the brighter blue background.)

Im running on 1280×800 and everything looks fine to me.
Im having a Problem with the DC Feed.When i name it it looks even worse.I already tried several feed widhets and it always turns out the same.Until then its going to stay like this.
Ill make the Gravatars a hint smaller so they dont extend past the bottom.

Just 4 days later. The reason the first seal looks jagged is because the gushing blood seeped into the glue as it dried. But underneath, the cut itself is smooth as you can see. Do you believe Krazy Glue now? ^_^
Haha, yeah, Rock Band plus all the equipment equals *mucho expensivo*, lol. As for the anime, I love the School Rumble characters, so those couple OVAs was a chance to see them one last time. Haha, Satoshi Kon directed both, so I guess it’s natural for Paprika to look like Paranoia Agent, lol.

Just noticed I never posted what I meant about the comments. The ‘on’ lacks the black background color, which makes the recent comment section look very odd in my opinion.
And if you managed to pull the ‘on’ and the Blog Entry Title into one line, that’d save several lines of space on the sidebar.
