NSFW!!! I picked up Vol.3 of the Ikki Tousen Manga today (10€ a Volume YUCK!) but this post isnt about the Manga itself but the Ad I found in the back.I was reading it on the train home and my eyes were literally popping out when i saw that ad.Youll find the Ad after the Jump!

What the hell is this?Ive seen this Manga all around stores and its selling pretty good as far as i can tell.I always thought that its a shoujo manga judging from the name but it seems that its a full blown hentai after all.The choice of pictures for this ad are rather interesting…Ive seen all kinda catchphrases and images to get the customers attention but something like this?Well…They succeeded…All my seat neighbours looked at me and the manga with a rather pitiful look.I have no problem with reading ecchi mangas like Ikki Tousen in public but this was a rather embarassing experience.Has anybody more information about this Manga?Is this a total misinterpretation from my side or are they really selling hentais infront of my eyes for years and i didnt notice?

Futary Ecchi occupies a strange grey area between the extreme end of fanservice and the soft end of porn. And it has diagrams, as seen at the bottom of the page on the left, and neither fanservice manga nor full-blown (heh) porn have diagrams. Or so I have been told.

Yeah, it’s weird because like it’s ALMOST hardcore porn, but since they can’t really show the genitals, they show a diagram instead.

Also Manga Love Story ist was sowas anbelangt sehr ausführlich erklärt. Habe ich eine zeit lang auch mal Gekauft. Habe die Serie dann aber aufgegeben weil sie 1. zu lang wurde 2. die Story mit fortschreiten der Bände immer einseitiger wurde und 3. ich niemanden habe an dem ich es ausprobieren kann. XD

There are 2 series to Futari Ecchi mang; one is Futari Ecchi (for newbie couples who are n00b to sex) and the other is Futari Ecchi for Ladie (for ladies who are interested in issues relating to sex). Futari Ecchi is more graphic than Futari Ecchi for girls but both portray sex educationally somehow. (:

Ich kann mir auch nicht vorstellen das ein Aufklärungsmanga sonderlich spannend ist.Ich kann mir gar nicht vorstellen wie man 40 Bände mit sowas füllen kann.Naja wenn dir mal ne Real-Life Maya übern weg läuft weißt du wenigstens was zu tun ist ^^

Dont tell me you are buying the awful Tokyopop BattleVixens Volumes.Ive bought Volume 2 of it since they are significantly cheaper (4 €uro) but was really turned off by its ghetto talk translation.I prefer the “normal” german translation even tough its more expensive.I have bought Volume 4 and 5 on that day aswell

Sadly I have volume 13 of Battle Vixens. But after buying, I have decided not to get volumes 1-12 after noticing how badly published the series was by Tokyopop. So no more Ikkitousen unless I can find a better version.

TP really crippled the series with that translation.Im in the lucky position to be able to read 2 languages and can choose between english or german releases.

Ich wüsste nicht, wieso ein Aufklärungsmanga langweiliger sein sollte als ein Erotik- oder Pornomanga, sofern er sich nicht auf Medizisches beschränkt.

Also du brauchst jetzt nicht unbedingt auf Englisch schreiben nur weil der Blog auf Engrish ist.Ich hab selber nicht reingeschaut in den Manga aber die meisten Mangas/Comics/Filme die einen was beibringen sollen sind meistens jetzt nicht gerade das spannendste.
Porno/Erotikmangas würd ich jetzt nicht unbedingt als spannend bezeichen.Da wird gerammelt wie die Weltmeister aber das wars dann meistens auch schon.
