Gift Saber Outdoor Shoot
The sun was shining so nice today that one thing jumped into my mind: Time for your first Outdoor Shoot!.Ive packed my things and went on the quest for the holy grai…errr…a great shooting spot.You wonder how it turned out? Find out after the Jump! (Picture Flood Warning!)
The spot where I took the pictures turned out to be a nearby hill and the idea behind the whole shoot is basically the same as DQs Review minus the epic scenery.I didnt wanna copy her concept but to be honest I totally forgot her review ^^;;. Check out her review for the better execution of the same concept ^^.

This is the Artwork Satoshi Toda probably has taken the inspiration for this figure from.Its Saber standing on a hill looking calmly over the battlefield.I thought it would be a great idea to recreate this scenery but too bad DQ had the same idea ^_^
This was my first Outdoorshoot and its hard to find a proper place for taking the pictures.I live in an area where there isnt too much nature and the few places that are avaiable are usually pretty crowded.I decided to use our local Sandberg as the location.People usually take their dogs out for a walk there but i was lucky and Saber didnt turn into a chewing toy for a doggie.Working with sunlight was on the one hand a joy and on the other one a big pain.Colours looks so much more natural and accentuate a figure nicer than any lamp could.A lamp is more flexible in the lighting angles and wont hide behind the clouds.Crawling in the dirt isnt that much fun either.I guess ill have to keep my eyes peeled for a gorillapod or something similar to avoid awkward poses in public.In the end i just guessed what the cameras seeker is pointing at and shot the pictures.Im really,really happy how they turned out even tough i was using a pretty random method.
A place i would have loved to use but it was a bit too frequented for my taste 
Pretty much everything about this figure has already been discussed but im gonna throw in my opinion aswell.I absolutely love Sabers very strong pose emitting a certain superiority over whoever stand infront of her.The pose itself is very static and undynamic but Toda managed to counter this with the gush of wind that blows through her skirt and hair.Its a great combination and I love it.This would be an absolute Ace Maiden release from Gift if there wouldnt be one little problem: her head.I dont feel like discussing the whole head thing and Im just gonna say that im “okay” with her Anime Style head.There are alot Sabers out there whose face isnt spot on and nobody really complains so why with this one? Yeah it spoils the perfect score for this release but wouldnt it be crazy if Gifts first figure would already be perfect? To be completley honest nobody ordered this figure for the face anyways….
Ive gotta say that Gift needs to work on their faces though after I saw pictures of their Lily Saber

Now that was a picture flood eh?You are nearly done! Meronpan hinted that Kanaru might look a bit better with different lighting so I took her with me aswell and took some shots.She still looks sunburned and pretty pale in sunlight >.<
Ill finish your connection off with one last picture of Saber in a different location.This one was taken close to a lake.After all a certain someone got from a certain someone else living in a lake a certain item.Hah this way noone will be spoilered
Those pictures didnt turn out well in the end and I went with the hill idea

i think i need to get out more… it feels refreshing just *looking* at outdoor pics ^^;;
alas i haven’t been stopping by dancing queen’s site too much because it’s blocked at work (content filter prevents me from seeing the site -_-)… so not quite sure how similar your pics are to hers
at any rate, very nice! it’s great not having to worry about the lighting so much and getting good results. also a nice combo… armor clad warrior standing over the battle field ^^
as you say, guess the different lighting didn’t change too much with kanaru ^^;; though she does look a little less glossy in these shots.

Taking pictures outside is something different from the usual indoor shoots.I finally found out some things about my camera i didnt know it was capable of.I tried to blur out the background so desperately in my indoorshoots but here it works within a second.Im glad that noone passed by when i was taking those pics ^^

The other person’s link didn’t have a prominent sunburn on her Kanaru. I am not happy, but I only paid like $50 something. You didn’t take a picture of Gift Saber’s alternate head? I really like the non-realistic face and the background for your photo shoot is beautiful. Very cute big Saber and li’l Saber moment. I’m half expecting a cute thought bubble with “One day, I wanna be just like you”.

Really nice looking figure. Not my kinda figure though…. I have no urge to buy her. (I have however ordered Swimsuit Cafe Shirley…. she is my kind of figure. lol.
Nice blue skies too! It was really nice in London today. Such nice weather for a shopping trip! Bit too bright at some points though… blinded walking towards the sun! LOL.
There was a movie premiere happening at Leicester Square too lol. For The Fast and The Furious’s newest movie. I spose Vin Diesel would have been there… there were photographers n stuff already lining up outside at 1pm lol. We didn’t go back to see though.

very nice pictures, I really like seeing figures in outdoor settings, especially beautiful ones like Saber. That last pic is my favorite for some reason, probably cuz of the lake ^^

LOL Tis indeed true…. Welllll, the oppai mousepad is firmer. But still comfy for the wrist. Hahaha (expect me to actually answer? lol)
After Eights arn’t uncommon persay, but they’re more readily available at xmas, more buy-one-get-one-free deals I spose. Otherwise they’re pretty expensive I think.
And yeah, Ramune wasn’t the strongest soft drink I’ve tried. Sometimes I like the change, Tizer isn’t very strong either. (Tis the only other one I can think of lol)

Yeah Lylibellules Kanaru hasnt got this intense sunburn.Maybe just a few ones were messed up?I actually DID take pictures with Sabers Alternate Head! What I didnt take shots of was her original head :3
I took already alot of stuff with me and didnt want to take one small itsy bitsy teenie weenie head with me thatll be gone forever if i lose it along the way.
Im gonna work on that thought blurb picture ^^

I ain’t felt these gelsaddle things you mentioned. But the pads on this do feel like they’re gel, or something like it. I expected them to be foamy rather than gelly. My friends normal wrist rest mousepad(no pretty anime girlie, just boring black lol)just feels like foam, not gel.
After Eights arn’t a festive snack here either, but my family only has ‘em at xmas usually.
I had no clue there were other brands of ramune lol. Just thought there was one company who made em…
Tizer is a weird refreshing-fruity-soft drink, which used to sponser SMTV live(a morning show on ITV which showed Pokemon, and featured Cat Deely, and Ant and Dec. It was awesome). But last year it was rebranded as a more healthy thing. I think the old tizer was bright red or something… advertised with a scary red talking head…. I’m refering to the new, more refreshing kind though.

Kona chan is so cute. ~<3 I especially like the photo shot where she poses with figure Saber.
You took the photos at the hill? I feel that they’re well done (nope, we’re not talking about beef or chicken steaks) and I like the macro effects. I also like the photo with cars in it due to the attractive and colourful background. Not forgetting to add, the awesome looking cars in the foreground too. :X

And I so do not need more ecchi figures. I’ve got one pantsu-less figures and one cast off. I don’t really want ecchi-ecchi figures. Just figures I like. And if they happen to be ecchi, so be it lol.
I’m getting a dakimakura, so what more can I do? lol. I’ve got the oppai mousepad, the eroge, the figures… what else is there?

Ah I’m back from the dead (ish).
The level of details on the armour and clothings are outstanding; they always draw my breath away! And it’s nice to see an outdoor shot of Saber there just like in the art and anime OP, as it fits really well there~ And didn’t know it was Konata til bout 1/2 way through the post LOL (argh still tired and not full in energy -_-;;)

In deinem Alter ist man eben zu sehr mit Lolis vorm Schulgebäude begaffen beschäftigt.Was Produktiver ist sei mal dahingestellt.Gesünder fürs Ego is jedenfalls die Kartoffel im Castoff Modus zu fotografieren anstelle von nem Stück Plastik ^^

Saber Lily is the Saber to end all Sabers but when it comes to Saber in her Armour this is the best damn thing.MAybe i should take Saber Lily head and transplant it onto this one XD
