Flame Sorceress Nyx + The Shocking Truth
Heres the long overdue review of my first Queens Blade figure that ive bought after reading meronpans`s PSA about her.Hit the jump for more pictures of the girl with the Tentacle Grape Staff aswell as the shocking truth about the blogosphere!
I think that there isnt any need to introduce the Queens Blade Universe anymore since everyone and their fathers knows about it after the broadcast of the bakunyuu anime QB – Ruro no Senshi.I havent seen Nyx showing up in the anime yet but I hope that shell have more screentime than Melona.Nyx has been designed by Kuroki Masahiro,the artist behind Maho Shoujo Ai.I cant write much about Nyx`s Character except that shes found a tentacle fire staff on her journeys that gives her immensive power.The only downside to the whole thing is that she isnt able to control it and the possibility of turning a village into dust or having some delicious tentacle grape is higher than the proper use.

This figure brought the QB figure line and Megahouse into my line of sight and ive ordered several other QB figures and Megahouse figures by now.Megahouse may not be a AAA manufacturer but they havent let me down so far.Im a figure collector that cares more about the characters turned into PVC than the Quality.Thats probably the reason why i havent got any Alter figures yet.They simply didnt release any figures appealing to me or were sold out by the time i got into figures.
Lets get back to Nyx: One of the things I like about her is the fact that there are many dynamic likes that define this figure.Her hair and the thorn things that flow in the wind aswell as her staff that comes with an adjustable tentacle give this figure the feeling that shes moving.Im usually not a fan of shiny paintjobs but the way it was done on her dress is great.Its not too shiny but has a certain glow when the light shines on it.She is castoffable like any QB figure (No Pantsu) and herein lies one of my biggest complaints about QB figures in general: Please add a description on how to cast off the figure and how to assemble the loose parts to the figure.It was a pain in the butt to figure out how to fix the thorn things onto her dress and I had to ask meronpan for guidance in the end.I had the same problem with my second QB Figure,Reina, aswell and its really annoying to search the web for an assembly guide.

From tentacle wielding Sorcereresses to the shocking truth about the blogosphere.Ive gotten classified information through a contact about some individuals of the blogosphere and their habits.Get ready for the truth!
First off my contact gave me Information about the whereabouts of some bloggers and the result was that theres a huge international blogger colony in an abandoned factory.Further investigation resulted in a floor plan of the factory.The readers of the Flying Pussyfoot are the first indiviuals to have a look at this high class information:
The mastermind behind the colony seems to be the US born blogger with the codename Persocom.His right hand seems to be a Dude going under the codename Gordon that seems to be a part-timer in the imperial forces.The Floorplan reveals that everyone lives in pairs except for the leader Persocom and a French Weirdo going by the name James.An interesting fact is that the second in command gordon shares his room with another imperial part timer called Danny Choo.My Informant tells me that the latter person is the only one that isnt using an alias and seems to be hailing from the UK.One can only guess what the person named Danny and his Imperial Buddy are doing in the spacious training room of the facility.Another interesting fact is that two members of the colony goe by nearly the same name except for one letter.The agency is still trying to figure out if this is a diversion tactic or a simple coincidence.Both subjects have chosen a japanese bakery good as their alias and the person with the name melonpan seems to be a threat to the integrity of humanity.My resources were able to provide images of this person and it is advised that you stay away from Switzerland.Two subjects going by the name of OtakuDan and Hynavian show a very unhealthy sexual tendency that requires two seperate rooms.We cant tell if the fact that those chambers are close by the entrance are another diversion strategy or just poor planning.Information about the other inhabitants of the facility hasnt been provided yet…
To my suprise there have been investigations on me and my relationship to other bloggers aswell and the truth shall be revealed:
To my suprise it has been revealed that I am in a sexual relationship with not only one but two male persons going under the name of Optic and meronpan.This explains the fact why I am living in the same room as meronpan in the facility and why Optics room is nearby.A closer look reveals another interesting fact: the subject named Q seems to be evil and shares the same room with rumored sex friend optic.Is the two timing of blowfish just a diversion tactic of justice to control evil or pure manly love?
Thats it! The shocking truth has been revealed!

Red roses background looks great on the pics but the plain background goes better with her dress so the pics are better with less contrast and good color tone

The Red Roses background was just a quick idea by me where i didnt put in too much thought.its true that it doesnt go too good with her dress but i still liked the pictures too much to let them go to waste ^^

I’ve always been one for figures with funky flowing bits, and Nyx’s hair and tendrils really take the cake!
That said, whilst I am appreciative that I now know the secret lives of anime bloggers, I am irked that I was not given a room in said abandoned factory! This irks me! You hear that!? I am irked!

OOooh a TENTACLE staff! Wow… I’m intrigued by this figure now… No no! Stop no temptation! The only Queen’s Blade figure for me is Aldura and no one else! Gah I wish they include effing manuals too. So many times I fee like I’d break something and then it can only be displayed in the nude >_<

On the other hand, having no instructions as to how to assemble things or remove things sounds like a pain, and you even had to resort to your love friend to seek support. Kinda found the placement of the thorns a bit odd.

Man, you had me laughing at that that it was a good thing I was drinking water from my cup at the time. I believe I LoL’ed even harder at your diagram. HAHAHA, sex friend?! This post was so funny. Nyx is very sexy. I’m surprised you didn’t have a picture with her staff repositioned so that the tentacle monster looks very ecchi and suggestive. She looks so funny in her short on-screen time in QB ep. 3.

i keep wanting to do a nyx review and failing. Thankfully you have filled that void ^^

Yes I can see the flaws but those are minor flaws from mass produced figures, sometimes you get them sometimes you don’t, its just a matter of luck, with a bit of photoshop you could get rid of it from the pictures
. It’s a very nice figure with great “volume”, I like those types XD

Oh man, I just read that. Considering that I generated a floor plan to match that diagram. hahaha, you really know how to put a girl on a spot. I have to get back to you on that question. I am a bit mentally tired and don’t know if I’ll type something wrong like “softcorn porn”. Something that has been revealed to me is that you, yes you, are actually a ladies and gentleman type of guy. I got a diagram with you having 3 sex friends?!?! Then, I got a floor plan with you and me sharing a bedroom. Gee, makes you wonder what happens in the room. Suffice to say, you are a very busy guy and you still blog fairly consistent.

This Nyx was one of the QB’s figure that I wanted… but I found her breast was too big

Those Thorn things are rather fragile since they are made of plastic but the rest is pretty sturdy.
