15 Pounds of Awesome
Its been quite some time since Ive posted anything about new purchases for a while.Golden Week delayed some of my orders with HLJ and to my suprise the package sent before Golden Week didnt arrive yet but the one sent after did arrive Friday.I guess thats SAL….^^
I wasnt at home when the postman ringed and so I had to pick it up at the post office today and paid a custom tax fee of whopping 89,08€.You just gotta love Germany for its 25% tax rate when it comes to importing goods.I barely managed to open all scaled figures yet and Im running out of time for today.Work has been crazy lately and im doing lots of overhours.I worked from 10am to 9pm today and barely managed to pick the box at the post office up in he morning.I unboxed some figures a few moments ago,grabbed a pizza and wrote this short Post.
Looks like ill finally be able to bring some more figure reviews! If work doesnt kill me…Orz ^_^
Some Revoltechs I was eyeing for a long time and that luckily were on Sale and other stuff
FunFact: The Box is nearly as tall as my legs O.0

Howdy! Im Blowfish a german afficiando of figures,manga,anime and anything else that is hailing from the land of the rising sun.
Check out my About Page for more Information.I hope youll enjoy your stay on my little Blog ^_^b

Holy crackers. Now that 90€ for import tax makes a lot of sense now. lol
Dam, I’ve never seen a box that big from HLJ. To be honest, I didn’t know it existed till now as they always ship my goodies in separate boxes.
I’m still debating weather to GSC Holo but money tignt now. Like very tight. >_<
Now when ppl ask me, what’s the biggest box from HLJ, I will just refer them to this post. xD

What? The box is nearly as tall as your legs? Hmm.. I wonder..

Woot~! That’s 1 big loot you got there~! ^.^ Envy~
Posted on May 27th, 2009 at 05:10
Fuck thats some messed up import taxes and working hours >_<
Still, awesome shit you got there! I particularly can’t wait to see pics of the Kyoaka nendo!

Awesome loot you got there. Yami-chan included ~drool~
90€ taxes, isn’t Europe great? That’s the money for a awesome figure that is lost with every order.

That box looks deep! Looks like you can fit a person in there… o_o
And what’s even more surprising is the tax you had to pay; I’m sure you can get at least 1-2 figures with that amount already. And as for the working hour, I really haven’t heard of someone having to work that long outside Asia for a while… Hope it wouldn’t last long.

25% import tax? Omg, and I thought the Philippines was bad…
Posted on May 27th, 2009 at 12:04
Wow… Never thought that HLJ has boxes like that. 90€, of course that is bad… But still, an awesome loot.
Posted on May 27th, 2009 at 15:42
That made a large number of figures!!! WoooW o^O And I see Claymore… I like this figure particularly.
I quickly hope to see one of your review if your work allows it to you;)

that’s a beautiful haul ^^ been a long time since i’ve had that much come in at the same time. good thing too or i’d be broke ^^;
lots to love there, especially yami, sakura & horo ^_^
Posted on May 27th, 2009 at 23:47
When you ahve a haul you have a haul..^^
I see 3 Saber boxes!!! and Penguin Sakura… great loot!!
Posted on May 28th, 2009 at 16:18
Holy wow, that’s a big box, and a giantic pile of plastic XD
But yeah…25% import tax is insane, but seeing those beauties eases off that feeling, no?
Posted on May 28th, 2009 at 21:32
25% tax!? O_O Bankrobbers I say!
Can that kotasu set be used for figmas?
Posted on May 29th, 2009 at 05:57
I’ve never gotten that many in one shot. I think it would take me months to open them all since I like to open one figure at a time and have them on my desk at the new figure spot for a week or so before opening another one. Throw in getting busy at work on a regular basis…
Posted on May 29th, 2009 at 22:45
Whoa! That must have been alot of packaging peanuts you have to dig through! (I meant these things
I’ll buy your box for a high price, then I can make my Gundam cosplay =3

damn, that’s a huge frigging box. Import tax is a killer here too in Canada, although, it depends on the quantity of the items. 25% is pretty crazy though.
Posted on May 30th, 2009 at 03:09
god, the 25% import tax is really exorbitant. Q said it right, with that amount of tax, it’s equivalent to at least 1-2 figures losses.
Posted on May 30th, 2009 at 03:20
LoL jeez… I know it was a pretty good sale, but I didn’t buy that many just cuz it was on sale XD Well, good luck with the review and hope work doesn’t kill you first ^^
Posted on May 30th, 2009 at 05:57
@FlyingBlow: LOL, nice haul! Yeah, don’t let work get to ya. Or u might end up drilling some holes in your precious figures. Oops, shouldn’t have said that. ^o^

Huge loot is huge! 0_0
You have too much stuff there blowfish, probably too heavy for you, let me lighten your load. ^_~ (Just kidding.)
Posted on May 30th, 2009 at 14:47
Holy crap that’s a huge box of loot. Well, I’d say the wait was well worth it. Never gotten a package that big before, hopefully some day XD At least these figures should reduce your stress from overworking I hope ^^
Posted on May 30th, 2009 at 20:46
I’m guessing you saved shipping since they packed everything in a box that a dog could fit in ^^ 90€ O.O That’s scary, and sorry to hear about work, but I’m sure it will work out and you’ll be fine ^^ especially since you have such nice loot to come home too

Here in Czech we have import tax as well. I think 19% atm but if u manage to get in some limit i think 140-150 euro u are spared of tax. I rember when I got taxed for my first orders =_= thx god right nex month they changed the limit from 20euro to those 140-150. Thats why I try to split orders on smaller ones… usualy some extra shipping is still less then possible tax =_= You dont have any free import limits in Germany?
Anyway I find that table set interesting. Gotta check it out ^^

Ooooh. Awesome haul, Blowfish. My gosh – the custom fee is killer. I see the ALTER Penguin Musume. I think she’s a rather pretty figure. I can’t wait till you can manage some time and can give your new loot the proper love and attention ;]

@Kairu
Yeah,believe it or not.I was impressed myself when the postman carried it to my doorstep
@Shinky
Yay! Finally someones envious of my loot!
@Snark
Yeah working hours are pretty bad lately >.< Hope to bring the Kyouka Review as soon as possible
@Q
Yeah the Taxes are bad but buying figures over here is more expensive most of the time and takes alot longer to arrive.Sure it hurts to see the money for 2 figures be gone but theres no way around it.
Well the health department has some pretty bad working times from time to time.Im nearly up to 12 hours a day at the moment and there are still patients that cant be served o.0
@Lelouch
Yup,its that bad.19% German Tax and 6% EU tax
@Feldi
Well we gotta bleed for our hobby and everythings well when you open up the box and smell the sweet smell of paint and PVC XD
@Lyli
Ohhh You like the Claymore figure?Didnt expect that! Seems like i discovered a new part of your personality ^^
@JimmPantsu
Na da bin Ich doch beruhigt das du dich nicht mehr so schlecht fühlst.Momentan bin ich aber auch echt bekloppt beim Geld ausgeben
@meronpan

@GnDynames
Yeah as soon as you see the figures everythings fine again
@Coco
Just check my other Post called Detolfs Get and youll be able to check yourself
@Superrats
That would probably be the way to enjoy your figures the most but im such an unpatient guy that I have to unwrap everything in a hurry.I guess I know now why youre reviews are spotting all the itzybitzy faults and details.Week long study!
@Jesus
Actually there were no packing peanuts but air cushions inside.Love to play around with packing peanuts but HLJ isnt using them
As much as I support Gundam Cosplayers the box stay mine! Need its for storage purposes ;P
@Saku
So how high is the Canadian Tax?
@Jacques
Yeah,its sad but theres nothing that can be done about this
@lightning sabre
MY Sale Package is still on its way^^;;
these are just normal figures and some discounted items (revoltechs)
@Jay
Hehe Nah,Im no crazy swiss guy called melonpan
@smithy
Haha how about me lighten your load! ^_^
@Persocom
Yeah they served as pretty good stress relievers (not in THAT way XD )
@Roy
It definately saved shipping.Well I knew that ill have to pay another 25% when the package arrives so it isnt really shocking and it isnt bad anymore as soon as you hold the figures in your hand
@Shiddo
Well we have 19% German Tax aswell and 6% EU tax for “toys”
Everything under 22 Euro isnt taxed.Everything above 22 Euro and Under 150 euro is taxed with 19% and everything abive 150 Euro is taxed with 19% + 6%
Your system is nicer ^^
@leonia
Thanks!
@Jem
Its nothing to your hauls ^^
Yeah I cant wait either.Hope work allows me more time soon
