Super Sonikos Sweet Suprise (NSFW)
This figure review is a very special one for me since this marks my 100th post! Flying Pussyfoots Birthday is just around the corner aswell and I cant believe how fast the time flies!Soniko decided to suprise me for the 100th post in a very special way.
Panther poisoned me long ago with his Soniko news and I was sold on the figure as soon as I saw her.Shes actually not my usual type of figure with the blushing and all but come on whos able to resist a girl in an apron making you some Valentines chocolate?Panther didnt only poison me but his co-blogger YuKi-To aswell and was forced to review her aswell.This marks my first Orcid Seed figure and I took the risk and jumped into the cold water.Did i freeze to Death?Nope,but ive got some blisters from it.
The figures expression is absolutely heart warming theres no doubt about it.At the first look theres nothing to complain about aswell as long as you consider this beeing an Orchid Seed figure.As soon as you take a closer look youll notice some inexcusable deficencies.The castoff mechanism is pretty easy to understand but as soon as you casted her off youll notice the disaster.The seams where her arms come off are as big as the grand canyon and even a blind,one-legged pirate with scurvy would notice them from across the globe.This is one of the moments where I totally hate cast-off features.Wheres the sense behind this?It looks like crap in castoff mode and makes the figure more expensive for an option youll end up not using anyways.Her apron covers the seams sufficently when shes in moe mode but its still a big mess up on Orchid Seeds side and I hope theyll adress this Problem with future cast-off figures .
Other things that arent that great but are rather minor are the shape of her boobs when they are out in the wild and the colour of her nipples.
Theres alot wasted potential with this figure but that doesnt make her a total failure for me.I still do like the figures valentine theme alot but her shoulder seams leave a sour aftertaste.
Shes actually a full cast-off but I didnt feel like fiddling around with her Pantsu.Its already malfunctioning anyways…

I decided that I should get some namecards for my burogu and while searching the web i stumbled across Moos Site and discovered an offer where you can try out their printing quality before ordering the real thing.They are watermarked but I think its a nice Idea that they let you try it out beforehand for free.You can check out the offer here
Im not to sure how to design those cards especially considering the fact that i totally suck at PS ^^
I plan to use some of my pictures for the backside of the Cards but havent decided on any yet.Are there any pictures that you think of as printworthy?Im a bit biased when it comes to my pictures and cant really decide objectively.Im grateful for any help,so if you have a fave post it below!
On a sidenote: Anyone else going to the JapanTag in Düsseldorf this weekend?Hope to bring nice pictures back this time and that I wont fail hard ^^;

@Blow: I believe she is Asakura Otome from D. Capo. There’s this really cute nendoroid of her coming out at the end of this month. Sexy Kanu from Koihime.
I almost got that Soniko figure, but I missed the preorder for her. Then, I saw the seams on her arm which is unfortunate, but I don’t know how else they would alleviate the problem. Like you, I don’t consider her a total waste as her face is still nice and the premise of the figure is rather sexy.

I agree the seam gap thingys are totally Awfull and i think the pantsu is not ripped i think it should look like part of the pantsu is in her A** Crack and they messed it up real good
and for the namecards i think your gift saber pictures would be Good especially the one that cycles around when you look at the Featured posts

Cube-Kamina is fucking tits though! I’ve got a cube Stormtrooper sitting somewhere at home, maybe I should get Kamina to keep him company >=D And Kamina in Evangelion would have been tits, it’d probably would get me to like that show again at least =P

Oh yea, this is the figure I almost won, but FatBastard beat me to it. I do like the face as well, but that belt looks weird. When I say belt, I mean the pantsu, which is more appropriate to be called a belt
I wouldn’t know where to display this if I have won it ^^;

Yes unfortunately theres a lot of waste potential on this figure, perhaps they rushed it or didn’t measure things correctly. The panties are ugly and wasteful, the joints on the arms could had been a bit better like the ones from the Shuraki series. The positive points on this figure are her head/expression and the breasts.

Poor Soniko, she looked great from promo pictures ages ago when she was announced, but up close those seems are ugly. I guess she’s not all that bad but they could have done much better just as you said. If she were a Figma or something like that it would be excusable, but for a PVC?

I couldnt really tell how they could have avoided the lines atwell but like I wrote Im no big fan of castoffs anyway.Im glad that theres nothing visible when shes wearing her apron and overall shes too cute to pass of as failure

Totally agree on your points but I somehow cant dislike this figure.Many things speak against her but her good points totally make them up for me.Its a waste they didnt fix those points though.

I think her adorable face and headphones make up for her neon nipples and weird pantsu. (Looks like the elastic wore off or something)

An ok figure, the original artwork is delish and the figure’s expression is very nicely rendered, but I agree and have the same reservations about the cast off appearance as well as the pantsu and apron not covering her nipples.
Had they made her apron and (complete) pantsu integrated instead of cast off-able and spent more time on detailing the figure that way, it would have a been a bigger hit I think.

I think the pantsu ripped when she leaned forward because it’s far too small for her proportions, especially obvious from the front view. That also explains her expression.
I prefer her well-formed ass over her boobs. The boobies are a bit overdone and could be a titbit smaller. I’d also prefer brown nippels over those orange-pink coloured ones. You could cover her arm joints with a superhero cape, angelic or fairy-like wings.
She tries to look innocent, yet is such a tease. We all know she only wears those unplugged headphones and slightly bends because she loves surprise buttseckz. I wonder whether she’s a leaner. It appears she might end up in doggy-style position.

Welll,what can you do with those freebie dakimakuras? Hang them on your wall,use it as a towel, cut holes in it and wear it as a Toga and umm well use it as a dakimakura.I actually wondered if those hardcore Otakus REALLY hump their dakimakura.I cant imagine that beeing fun.

The Pantsu is part of the setup and I cant really tell if its supposed to look ripped or if ts supposed to look like its crawled up her butt crack.Well never know…^^
