Queens Blade Nyx Battle Book
Queens Blade is probably best known for its recent Anime incaranation aswell as the figures released by Megahouse.It all started off as a Battle Book Game a few years ago though.Enter the world of the Lost Worlds Fighting System after the Jump!
The QB Books are based on the American Lost Worlds Books and follows the same rules as their english counterparts.Actually alot of the QB characters are mere copies of the Lost World Characters with a different,sexier artwork.One of the biggest advantages over other japanese games is the fact that the Rules are readily avaiable in your language!

Youll need 2 QB (or Lost Worlds) books to play with one of your friends and you actually swap books with them.Yes,you cant drool over the fantastic artworks of your character while playing and have to stick to your buddies character.The only thing youll keep is the Character Card that comes with your book and provides all neccessary information for fighting the other players character.I already mentioned that most QB Characters are based on already existing Lost Worlds characters but there are still minor tweaks and this is where it gets a bit complicated : the Character Card aswell as the book are completley in Japanese.Luckily the good guys at ESGlabs provide Fantranslation of many of the QB Character Cards.I highly recommend you to to check if theres a translation for your desired character avaiable before ordering.
Nyx`s Character Card
The books itself are hardcovers with about 63 full covered pages that provide the artworks aswell as the battle statistics.Sine you swapped the book with your buddy youll see everything out of your characters perspective attacking the enemy.

Depending on the attack youve chosen the other player has to turn to a certain page that provides information if the attack was successful or not.Your goal is to reduce your enemies lifepoints to Zero before he does with yours
What would QB be without Ecchi artworks?
What else is there to say?The books are well bound and printed.Theres nothing to comply about and the price of the books itself is very reasonable considering the fact that you are buying an Artbook plus a game.I recommend importing them since local retailers over here are selling them for triple the price.
I cant wait for the arrival of my brothers book and hope to fight with him soon!

It is a shame that Nyx never had a role in the anime series…except for an small cameo. Lets hope the second season fix that situation

You know, I got a couple of those QB books back at a convention, too bad I don’t have anyone to play against with! Oh I didn’t know QB copy the game rules from an English game, that’s fantastic information that I wasn’t aware of! Might have to go read up on it now.

The level of fanservice tends to turn me away from the Queen’s Blade series, though I like the character designs of some of the girls. ^^

Oh didn’t know they copied the rules from an English game and that there are translations available. Thanks for the informatiuon. Unfortunately you can’t play by alone ^^,
Got the Alice Queen’s Gate book a few months ago. Lolicious.
Nix looks fine too, but most of the others are too over-oppai’ed for my taste.

That was sexy. I agree that it is awesome to have a well done art book and a game all in one. I wasn’t sure that it was a game, but certain pages have bonus damage circles on them that amused me.
Hmmm, I am using “awesome” a little too much today.

Well you know what I think about Queen´s Blade (oh, only some months left to say things like that…) but I really like that idea.
Would be nice to have more combinations like that with a couple of series!

The thing which stands out the most is tentenlces. There’s just so many.
Found out QB series is getting a 2nd season. Might as well dive into the first and have a laugh watching it along the way. lol

Haha, next, all we need are battle books to represent *our* blogs or blog mascots. For example, if I created a “Toybox Fox” mascot girl to battle your “Flying Pussy-cat” mascot girl, etc… Obviously, mine would win, lol. What do u think? ^_^

Well the QB Books actually dont show any ecchi stuff.You wont see anything exposed in contrary to the anime.

Well Queens Gate is exactly a Combination of different Series! You might wanna check that one.

the series gets bearable as it moves on.You get some of the basic background of the characters and the rest is boobs and even more boobs.And well shes wielding a tentacle staff no wonder theres so many tentacles visible

I wonder how the whole Queen’s Blade franchise came about; can you imagine what the people over at Flying Buffalo (which I think is a pretty small company out in Arizona) thought when told that a bunch of Japanese artists wanted to adapt their game rules using borderline hentai pictures? I should get this book, tentacles are awesome and I think the art is done by the Mahou Shoujo Ai artist, but I’m not positive about that.

I got Nyx’s battle book as well, flipped through it once only lol, meant as a collector’s item.
Nyx needs to appear in Queen’s Blade anime dammit. Tanaka Rie is her seiyuu!
