Yamato isnt a noteworthy figure manufacturer in my opinion, but there are times where I cant resist them and thats when they release a new Shunya Yamashita Figure in their Creatores Labo Line.This time well take a closer look at Emaretta-chan and her big boobs sword after the Jump.
Before I start with the review Ill talk about a change in my reviews.I realized that the Ecchi and therefore NSFW content recently tripled and that quite a few people wered troubled by that.I wont quit taking pictures of tiny naked plastic girls but Ive found a way to please the ecchi and more sophisticated crowd with the simple use of a spoiler tag.

Yamato is a figure manufacturer I have a so-so relationship with.On the one hand they deliver mediocre craftmanship most of the time and on the other hand they deliver the best steady line of Shunya Yamashita Figures.Their early works were pretty crappy and mean leaners but they also did some masterpieces like the Shunya designed Rei.As soon as I saw the Prototype of Emaretta-chan I knew I had to get her because she combines two things I like. Shunya Yamashita Design and friggin big weapon :p

I nearly canceled her order though since the early work had a pretty nasty seamline on her arm but that was later covered up with a golden bracelet.Im glad that I didnt cancel her since shes pretty awesome as a whole.It starts with the skull thats part of her base and pretty rad on its own.It wa spart of the reason I ordered her and they managed to give it a nice realistic worn out look.I would have preferd something different from the mirror base but I guess you cant have everything.To complete Emarettas badass look she comes with a nice cape that gives the whole figure a nice dynamic.You can basically feel the wind that crawls across the vast fields shes gazing upon.If youre not happy with her cape you can take it off and let her get a nice tan in her delicious outfit.Boobs should get a tan too?No,problem man! Simply take off her top and youre ready to go!
Yamato did a fine job with the sculpt and I didnt notice any nasty seamlines and the like besides the obvious hair seamline.Mine is a bit more obvious but I think that this is just the case with my figure.The Paintjob is a bit rough on her outfit but the skintone and her face are nicely detailed and well shaded.I have applaud Yamato for the excellent paintjob on the skull and sword since they are pretty good done and have a nice realistic feel to it.
You probably already noticed but Im pretty biased when it comes to this figure:P
If you arent a Shunya Yamashita Fan youll easily find the obvious “flaws” in the design: Shunya Yamashita has certain trademarks he switches wildly around but in the end you tend to have the feeling that youve seen this before.The same sword pops up in so many illustrations and there are many shorthaired,big boobed girls in the artists portfolio.
I dont have a problem with that since Im a fan but if youre not so much into that style you might not dig this figure as much as I do.As far as Im concerned shes among my favorite Shunya Yamashita figures so far.
If youre digging the lone warrior in the desert look,you might wanna check out the colour variation that looks a bit more badass than this one.I prefer this version over the variation though.

Now to a completley different matter…I think that Megahouse is spying on me! I cant find any other reasonable explanation why they are able to take as much money as they want out of my pocket.Ive seen the prototype of the Queens Blade Rebellion Yumiru today and Im already sold.I have no Idea why Yumiru joined the Rebellion army but she upgraded from beeing a Dwarven princess with a big weapon ( nope no loli) to beeing a total badass two weapon wielding dwarven princess ( nope no loli).Damn Megahouse knows my weak spot ( wich isnt by any chance loli )

Emaretta sure is nice. And yeah, the outfit of the new Ymir is much nicer than before, though I wish she were packing something more in the upper-body department.
I mean, gothic-lolita without something at the top? It seems like bare-skin. Where’s the corset? Heh.

Nice pics! For me it is a good surprise to see that SunnyDay sculpted damaged details on the sword because most of time we’ve got “perfect items”. I also like the skull (because I like customized bases).
Emaretta didn’t need your review to be in my wishlist… but I am still hesitating between the regular color (like yours) and the black version. How did you choose?

For a Yamato figure this looks amazing. I had one of their figures produced 4-5 years back and it’s actually quite crappy compared to other manufacturers’ work, but this one is quite impressive for a Yamato release!

I’m a fan of Yamashita’s work but not so fond of Yamato. Their colouring is kinda glossy and bland, I would prefer GSC or Alter would pick Yamashita’s designs but apparently Yamato beat them to it.

That’s a nice figure by Yamato’s standard! Not familiar with the character myself though.
I have been semi-fond of Ymiru, I donno, I can’t say I am anti-loli but I can’t say I am a fan of loli either. Something about the way they designed Ymiru just kind of work for me. This rebellion Ymiru though, seems to be extra flat in that department, can’t say I like her as much as you do.

That skull! It looks scarily amazingly well done and sculpted and painted, very close to a real thing! o_o
It’s good to know that the Yamashita figures are consistent in Yamato line; they have good respect for the original artist’s work. Using a gold bracelet to cover up a seam line is a rather interesting idea while not ruining the figure as a whole.
And haha one can never go wrong with figures + big swords!

Im no fan of Loli-Characters in general either and I really wouldnt mind a bigger bust ^^
I simply want to have her for beeing badass.The only thing bothering me a bit is the fact that her pose is somewhat boring.
Its actually quite interesting that neither you nor I like Loli Characters but we both own the first MH Yumiru Figure XD

Yeah,im very happed that the sword has that worn out look.Fits the figure pretty nice.
Well,back then I didnt know that therell be a colour variant of her so i went with the original colours.The variant colour features too much dark colours for my taste.Its too heavy on the eye and takes away some attention from the nice minor features.

I do own a Oneechanbara figure from Yamato and I wasnt too pleased with its quality even back when I was a noob when it comes to figure collecting.They really beefed up with their newer releases wich is very nice to see.

I would of course prefer a Alter/GSC/MF designed figure aswell but I dont see that happen anytime soon.Luckily Yamato beeded up over the last years and their figures are becoming pretty decent by now.

Well,you cant really know that Characters since its based on a single illustration ^^
Im actually no fan of loli characters thats why I am always joking that she isnt a loli but a dwarve.I always liked Yumiru for her big ass axe and her oversized armour and not for her DFC qualities.The same thing applies for this particular Yumriu.Shes looking badass with those 2 axes and a bit punky/gothy with that outfit of hers.I didnt notice that shes flatter than before.
I really didnt pay that much attention to her chest.I simply saw those axes and outfit and I was in heaven.It took me some time to take notice of the relatively boring pose too.

Yeah,I am really amazed how realisticaly they pulled of that skull.
I am so far happy with the newer Shunya Yamashita releases of Yamato still I wouldnt mind one of the big 3 taking up some of the illustrations.
One of the sad things is that alot people canceled her because of that gap.The promo shots didnt show that ring and people thought the sold product will end up like this.I nearly canceled her aswell

I didnt expect the castoff mode too.I accidently discovered it wjile checking out the figure.I somehow was looking under her boobs and noticed a nipple through a small crack.Thats when I fired up Tsuki Board and found out that shes cast-offable

This does not change the fact I can read ur post at work. When it comes to commenting a post, I need to see the FULL post with boobs or no boobs to give an honest about the figure. I know u rather prefer an honest one than a lame half-ass one. ^^
Love the shoot. I’m surprised Yamato is getting better in figure making. A few years back, their quality was so poor, it was an eyesore. -_-
Sadly no figures of the Yamato lineup interest me at the moment but I will definitely keep an eye out now.

Anyways, the figure looks pretty nice. I’m not a big fan of Shunya’s artwork, but i love the curves in his illustrations. I have Rudy, but would love to have another Shunya figure with a more interesting pose.
I didn’t know this figure was cast-offable, a definite plus.

Went to check out the other version. I would get the same one as you if i am getting her. Somehow, i feel that the color of her hair matches her outfit better than the other. Her base is cool.

I don’t remember if it’s this figure or another, but there should be a seam if you take off the cape. Other than that, I am quite pleased and surprised with the quality of this figure. I had contemplated about buying this figure and now, I feel even better about doing it. Congrats on her.

Although the figure itself is nice. What I’m most impressed with is the skull. The little details like graininess, cracks, holes, chips, and the straw is very nice.
