This Friday has to be one of the worst days of my life…I had a toothache since wednesday and had an appointment with my dentist this friday.I already expected that its once again my wisedoomtooth since hes always the one thats bugging me.My dentist told me that its best to yank it out since its such a troublemaker.No problem…He did it.No Pain No regret… just feeling a little funky from the anaesthetic and a swollen cheek.
On my way back home i get a call from my boss on my cellphone and hes telling me that he has to fire me the end of the year because of economical reasons…great…simply great…Im looking like a hamster and will be unemployed on the 1.1.09…Now all that was left was taking care of my mother that couldnt move her arm due to an accident an needed help…
In short: I wont have too much time to post anything lenghty the next few weeks since i have some personal reasons to take care of.Ill try to squat some short posts inbetween but dont expect anything spectacular.
The last time i visited my favorite bookstore they had the September 08 Issue of the Dengeki Daioh Magazine on Sale and i was tempted to get it.I usually wouldnt pick up something like this tough since i cant understand a word and can only guess whats going on.I found out a short time later that the Dengeki Daioh serializes alot of Series that im watching right now/Im reading translated and i decided to pick up one issue for fun.Hey after all there are still the extras i can have fun with if it turns out to be boring!
I had to take the Train to Düsseldorf to pick one up and thought why shouldnt i take some pics along the way to show a bit about the Japanese parts of Düsseldorf.

I was blackmailed invited by Panther to join the sect worshipping the allmighty pantsu his neat little Otaku group called TeamBlue.Its mostly made up of Singaporeans but some poor souls outside of SG did join aswell.Does anything change?Nope everything stays the same except for some flashy banners that will pop up in my sidebar and advertise some of the other members blog.
The local electronic discounter Saturn released their newest ad a few days ago and when i took a look at it i instantly new that i had to grab this offer.The Photokina just closed its doors and they are selling the Nikon Coolpix P50 now as an old model for 99€.Until now i had to borrow my mothers crappy digicam with a poor macromode and nearly no customization options but thats history!I can finally take pictures whenever i want!
You can expect a figure review later on after i fiddled a bit around with my camera.Its the Day of German Unification tomorrow and therefore i wont have to work.Screams for a loooong night

Yes Blowfishs do indeed growl.They have actually a very,very scary growl but ill save that for another post.Panther introduced to us a few days ago his Figure Wishlist and it isnt one of those lame posts you do when you are too lazy to make a real blogpost.This isnt a wishlist for figures we want to own but for figures we want to be made.I bet you often thought about how nice id would be if that certain character you like would be made into a full fledged PVC Figure.Chances that this happens are actually pretty low if they dont apply to the popular Anime/Manga standarts.Manufacturers want to earn money,they are a buisness after all.Thats why they play safe most of the time and release the same type of figure over and over again.”So why are you compelling this list if its never going to happen anyway?” you may ask.The reason is actually pretty simple:Theres a tiny,tiny chance that well be heard if enough of us post about their wishes.You could say that these wishlists are some kind of guideline for the manufacturers to know what we actually want besides the usual merchandise.
Manufacturers give a molepigs behind about the opinion of one infamous blogger.Thats why im asking you guys to do the same as me and panther and to compell a list of figures YOU want to see.You could take panthers or my post as an inspiration and make your own list.If enough of us get together and are doing the same thing theres a small,really small chance that manufacturers may take notice of our opinion.They may ignore a few people but they cant ignore the masses.REVOLUTION! ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWA……whatever….
The FAILURE quote is probably over ninethousand but its still nice to take some time and dream about your dream figure eh?Thats why you should grab your pencil and paper and start to make your very own FIGURE WISHLIST
I cant count the number of times i was trying to look up a figure i laid my eyes on at GSCs homepage.It always ended in a game of trial and error to find the right entry because i cant understand a word japanese.From today on the trial and error is history because our favorite Stormtrooper/Figure afficiando DannyChoo designed their new international portal based on his MiraiGaia platform known from DannyChoo.com.Its a Beta launch so there are still some bugs around.If you do find some of these critters report them to Danny and hell fix them with lightning otaku speed.Be sure to drop some suggestions on how to improve the overall experience in his Post at DC.com aswell.
Danny is not only maintaining their website but also became part of their international strategy team “with a mission to make their figures more widely available across the globe”.That screams for international orders from their website if you ask me.
The Site itself looks very neat and clean.It has a high resemblance of Dannys own site wich isnt a bad thing in my eyes.The regular DC User will find himself home within seconds and navigation is as easy as stealing a kid a lolipop.While the Picture display system has room for improvement its great to have access to promoshots from the manufacturer/distributer itself.The times where you had to hunt down pictures of a certain figure on various blogs is finally over.You are now able to get all information from most manufacturers in one place along with little exclusive tidbits Danny is going to post there.Be sure to check it out! I already subscribed to their feed.^^

Im living on my own in a 3 room 75 squaremeter flat on the second floor.Im glad that i have finally some room to fit all my stuff in after living 3 years in a tiny 27 squaremeter appartment.I pity the poor comrades in Japan that have to spend most of thir lifes in crammed up tiny places.I have taken pictures of otaku-relevant places like livingroom,bedroom etc. If your looking for my smoking hot bathroom…SORRY GUYS

Im finally back from the dead!The summer flu hit me pretty hard and i couldnt do much except lying around,reading manga and watching anime.Anything else was a real bother.Alot of Bloggers cought the summer flu recently. A Conspiracy? Even the allmighty Danny has fallen for it.I hope all you sick people out there in the blogosphere get well real soon.
I hope to bring a real post about Ever17 later tonight.
Wordpress is updated to the newest version and it didnt blow up in the progress!
Id like to say its because of my skills but thats a shameless lie.I tried to update some of my Widgets and killed them instantly.Luckily i was able to reinstall them without any further problems.What would happen if i upgrade Wordpress? It ended up as a total mess in my thoughts, but i have to thank the great otaku god that Hynavian told me about the Automatic Update Plugin before i tried updating the blog myself.Its a great tool that does the whole work for you.
